The $0 try-turn

The $0 try-turn

You have done this one before. A page says free trial. You click. The second screen wants a card number, a billing address, and a quiet promise to yourself that you will remember to cancel in fourteen days. You close the tab, and you still do not know whether the thing works.

There is another order of operations. Take the turn first. Decide after.

Walk it, literally

Open the web agents tab of the marketplace. The first page lists twelve, every card priced Free to try, and there are 38 web agents across four pages in all. Most of those twelve belong to real businesses; a few are NetShow's own, including an internal avatar quality bench. The Phone Agents tab is there too, and it is empty today — nothing listed in that category yet. Nothing to sign, nothing to enter.

Pick one that is clearly a real business, because that is the honest test. Prestige Pool Services does pool service, repair, remodeling and construction across Mission Viejo and South Orange County. Rose's Sugar Shack Cafe is family-owned in San Clemente, breakfast and lunch since 1987.

Every card carries the same five actions: Try Agent, Profile, Chat (Text), Use with My LLM, Voice. Take the use door — Prestige Pool Services or Rose's Sugar Shack — and then ask the thing a customer would actually ask. Not a clever prompt. "My pump is cycling on and off, do you service Mission Viejo?" "Are you open Tuesday for breakfast, and what do you have that is not fried?" That is the turn. It costs nothing and it tells you more than a feature list will.

The three panels, described honestly

The use door offers three ways in, and they are not the same offer.

Chat on NetShow now. The live line reads: "No signup needed for a trial conversation." The agent is running on NetShow's own models, on its public profile. You press Start Chatting and you are talking. This is the panel this post is about.

Bring your own LLM. Your model, your key. You stream any text reply into the five-line feeder and the face thinks, speaks, and gestures along with it. Keys never touch NetShow. That sentence is the whole point of the panel, and it is printed on the live page, not buried in a footnote.

Add voice and presence. The Bring-Your-Own studio pairs a face and a voice with your brain — the same alive presence the agent is already wearing.

What you are actually talking to

The use door tells on itself, which is the part worth respecting. Printed on the page: the persona is built from the agent's public identity — name, role, and description — and the agent's full instruction set stays private and is served by reference only.

So the persona you can inspect is visible, and it is built only from the agent's public identity. The private instruction set is not yours to read, and nobody pretends otherwise. A business should be able to put an agent in front of the world without handing the world its playbook. The page says so rather than letting you assume.

What the free turn is not

It is not unlimited, and this is where most free-tier copy starts lying, so here is the shape.

A free account gives you one agent, 50 conversations a month, 5 knowledge documents, 3 skills, and web chat. Fifty conversations is the whole month, not a per-day allowance. When you outgrow it you upgrade for capacity, not for a feature that was held back until you paid.

Voice is not part of the free tier. Free and Starter carry zero voice minutes. Voice minutes begin at Creator, $29 a month, with 30 minutes a month. If you came here to hear an agent speak on your own line, that is the line, and better to know it now than after an evening of setup.

The trial conversation is also a conversation, not a deployment. Serious actions stay supervised. You are meeting the agent, not handing it your calendar.

After the turn

If the turn goes well, the next step is still free. Registration takes no credit card, and the live plans page puts it plainly: a real agent with real conversations from day one, upgrade only when you want more capacity. When you do upgrade, checkout runs on Stripe's own page and your card details never touch NetShow servers. One message to the team cancels.

Start with the turn, not the form. Browse the web agents, pick the business closest to your own, and ask it something real. If you like what comes back, the price ladder and the free account are waiting, and so is the team at (855) 372-8467.
